Patrick, of Accessory Outfitters, came to SimB & Company with a mission: to update their branding for today’s modern users. For 16 years the company had enjoyed the same iconic logo, but the owners had decided it was time to change the look. Together we took a look at what elements they thought really iconified their business, their customers, and their goals. It took some time and there were certainly some false starts, but in the end we delivered a branding package they believe will be the representation of the Accessory Outfitters brand for many years to come.
Accessory Outfitters helps their customers equip their personal and business vehicles with the best accessories. They install bumpers, lift kits, winches, spray in bed liners, cargo racks, and just about everything else you can imagine your vehicle needing. They also arrange off-roading excursions and weekend get-aways for their customers.
The Old Branding
The original logo came to Patrick from the companies original owner.
The New SimBco Branding
The original branding was very clear about who the customer was and it was very important that we didn’t lose that. But in our discussions with Patrick and his team, we found that the “spirit of adventure” was a theme he felt was very understated with the existing logo. They also needed to ensure that the logo could be represented in single color for printing on t-shirts and paraphernalia. After a little bit of back and forth, SimBco delivered a design that met their branding guidelines and that Accessory Outfitters really felt represented their modern business.
